Polar Bears

The Owl City concert was beyond words amazing. Adam's music is so feel-good, I listen to it everyday. My favorites are Vanilla Twilight, Cave In, Designer Skyline, If My Heart Was A House, The Bird and The Worm... Okay, I realize I could name all the songs as faves.
Yeah, I didn't take this picture.

I'd like to be the kind of writer that inspires others. I am definitely not that kind of writer. My english teacher validated that point to me right when I got my essay grade back. Apparently, I don't know how to do an analysis. I was extremely upset because I worked really hard on the paper. I don't think my teacher should be a teacher anymore...too old.

I just want to buy a sonic burger and a Dr. Pepper and watch Superbad. I feel so out of it lately, just going through the motions. I really need a night with friends. I haven't had a good night out in a while:( I REALLY wish I could see all my friends in Lubbock and wherever else they might be and just hang out and LAUGH. INSTEAD, I'm making myself sick worrying over pharmacology and pathophysiology.

I am extremely ready for this semester to be over. I need Christmas things like cheer and peppermint hot chocolate and money from all the hours at work:)

So, if you read this can you send a shout out to God for me and ask him to help me through the next two weeks? I don't have any tests this week but I have three tests in three days next week. Any prayers or notes or hugs or anything would be helpful.

Numbers 6:24-26

Wish me luck. I probably won't be back until the semester is over. I might be bald from pulling my hair out by then. I promise I'll start looking for the good in the bad. I need a little God in my life:)

PLUS GLEE. I need a dvd set of Glee already, that would cheer me up immensely.

Library

So, the fifth floor of the library is supposed to be for QUIET studying. Chips don't really work on this floor. Or newspapers. Or cell phones. Am I the only person that follows the unwritten rules here?? Well, apparently I am. I haven't even eaten my lunch yet because I know my chips are crunchy and I don't want to disturb others.

So obviously, I am writing this post from the library. It took me forever to find a spot near an outlet (I needed to charge my laptop) so by the time I found a spot I was late for anatomy. So, rather than go to anatomy I have stayed in this black comfy chair and surfed facebook while listening to Michael Buble. Don't think I'm not productive. I have been reading other people's hot topic blogs for pharmacology. Wanna read mine? Go to http://childhoodvaccinationsfearsandconcerns.blogspot.com/

So, what's been going on for me lately...I am burning the candlestick at all ends. Yeah, there are two ends on your average candlestick but I'm pretty sure mine has at least five ends.

My new obession: GLEE!
Does anyone else watch this show? I know some people do. I LOVE THIS SHOW. I know I watch too much tv but I'd reccommend this show to anyone looking for a new show.

Um, I have to go english. Sorry this post is scatterbrained!

Post 3

I have come to the resolution that I will probably never come up with creative titles.

A thought that's on my mind today...am I smart enough for nursing school?
Well, I'd like to think so. I hope so. Please let it be so!

Happenings since last post!
a) I have completed many things on my list!
b) I have read my Bible everyday and am on Exodus17.
c) I have bombed a pathophysiology test :(
d) Texas Tech lost to Texas :(:(

Things that are coming up in the near future!
a) First pharmacology and anatomy&physiology tests tomorrow! I refuse to do poorly! I have been studying about beta and alpha agonists and blockers (so nerdy!) like crazy! Same with tissues and basics for anatomy.
b) Taylor Swift concert on Friday with my best friend Amy!! I have been waiting for over a year to see Taylor and am so ready to see her!
c) Next weekend = family weekend which means I get to spend a whole weekend with my best friends Amy and Alex in lubbock!:)

"When violet eyes get brighter,
And heavy wings grow lighter,
I'll taste the sky and feel alive again.
And I'll forget the world that I knew,
But I swear I won't forget you,
Oh if my voice could reach back through the past,
I'd whisper in your ear, Oh darling I wish you were here."

Owl City makes my soul smile.

Please cross your fingers and/or pray for me tomorrow. I need it.

Second Post

Maybe when I get used to writing, I'll be able to think of catchier titles. I actually sit here for a minute thinking of what it should be. Well I give up! What a waste of time!

HEY, GUESS WHAT!?!? I've read my Bible everyday since my last post (7ish days ago). Yes, for some that's not impressive... but it is for me. I feel pretty accomplished by this fact. I've really grown away from church-y things so I'm trying hard to make a better effort on all aspects. I'm actually liking my new Bible.

So, I have a whole long list of things to do. This list ranges from birthday thank you cards to washing the car and beyond. My list is stored on my phone so I can keep track. I have attempted many things on my list (like cleaning my room), but I finally finished one thing on my list! I have been looking at these wall cubes at Kohls since we got them in stock. Originally $40, I got them for over 75% off. I think I got the last ones! Anyways, they were definitely not the colors I wanted (the insides were originally grey and navy blue) so I redid them to fit the theme of my room. I am very pleased with the results. I like working on projects and collages, basically anything that gets some paint on your hands!

One new thing I'm trying
1. Keeping my favorite pictures, thoughts and random things in an inspirational journal. I want it to represent me, so I can look at it in the future and smile. It's not a scrapbook!

Two things I'm procrastinating on
1. Cleaning off my cluttered desk
2. Finishing my list!

Have a good night! I'll keep you updated on any progression with my list.

First Post

I've never been an inspiring writer. I'm mostly a reader. Reading is my passion. Other great writers inspire me to try to take a whack at this. So, that's what this blog is for. I've had blogs in the past, but I've never kept up with them. Plus when I go back to look through them, I think I'm ridiculous and petty. But hey, I'm twenty now...so practically an affulent person of the world.

I guess I might complain a little, be in awe a little, be passionate, angry, clever, lacking, rude, etc. I have pictures to share, lyrics, excerpts and all in all, I want a place to figure it all out. WOW, I set high hopes for this blog. Don't hold me to it.

Anyways, feel free to read or not.

So, sitting right in front of me is my new women's devotional Bible. It's still in the plastic wrap and everything. I went to the Lifeway Christian Store with my mom and hey, this Bible was on sale for five dollars. Now, I've been struggling for a long time about making a commitment to this book. I've read hundreds of other books but this is one I'm hesitant about reading cover to cover. I'm kind of excited about this new one, because my other Bible was half scripture and half reference, which got insanely tedious. So anyways, wish me luck. I'll tell you how this works out.

Three Things That Made Me Happy Today
1. Making Oreo Truffles (I call them Oreo Balls). They're awesome.
2. Finding out I have two classes with my friend Kammy
3. Listening to the CD Travis burned me of Owl City songs

And as we twirl
The glow in the dark stars on your ceiling
Will shine for us."
