51 things in 501 days

I have tried to make a list of 101 things but I can not think of anything else I should do beyond 51... and because of this, I have decided to edit my list and make it 51 things to do in 501 days. So, instead of two and 3/4 of a year I have a year and a half to complete my list! Here is my final list! I am going to print it out and hang it near my bed so I can be constantly reminded of the goals I'd like to achieve.

101 things in 1,001 days

Online there is a website, dayzeroproject.com, where you write a list of 101 things you want to accomplish in 1,001 days (2.75ish years). I heard about it from the beautiful Tricia Gilchrist and I thought it would be a great idea to write my own list! So far, I have only come up with twenty-three things I want to do. I'm not going to start my list until I create the whole list (which makes sense to me) so I'm hoping I can come up with some things to put on my list to complete it soon.

Here are my first 23 list items (I might've stole a few from Tricia...)

1. Leave an inspirational note inside a book for someone to find
2. Clean out my closet
3. Buy a lottery ticket
4. Complete a coloring book
5. Go vegetarian for a week every year
6. Paint a canvas
7. Spend a whole weekend without using the computer
8. Read 40 books.
9. Send out Christmas cards to my friends and family.
10. Go to a concert of someone famous.
11. Buy a cookbook and try five or more recipes
12. Graduate college.
13. Buy a travel book (or two) for a dream vacation
14. Finish a 1000+ piece puzzle.
15. Buy a camera (a great quality one)
16. Read every Jodi Picoult book
17. Mail in a Postsecret
18. Purchase something adorable from IKEA
19.Take a day trip to visit Emily
20. Donate to an important cause
21. Convince someone to donate blood
22. Visit a museum by myself
23. Donate my old clothes and stuffed animals

This list excites me a lot! I really hope I can keep up with working on it once it is complete. I will be starting nursing school in the fall, so I think it's important to do stuff that I'd actually like to do! :) Anyways, school starts tomorrow. I also start my new job at the rec center tomorrow. I'm really excited to have a new job and do something new (make more money, yay!).

Frown Upside Down

"I read all your blog entries. Are you sad?"
-Emily Stacey

"I was sad then. UGH, I need to delete that sh**!"
-Me

I am not sad now.
I am not depressed.
Last semester was the worst (stress wise).
I will never be a great writer.

Love you,
Very much.

Owls!

This new blog background just makes me sing for joy because I love owls!

It's hard to catch up when you've been gone for months. What to say? What is important enough to say? Not too much, really.

I haven't felt too inspired BUT I did get a new baby Canon powershot for Christmas...not the one I really REALLY wanted ($$$) or the second one I wanted ($$) but this one works pretty well. I guess I can borrow my moms precious camera to practice my photography skills until I can afford a $1000 camera.

Well, since I was kind of down in the dumps (because of lack of cute and candid material) I decided to take some quick snap shots of things in my room that make me happy...

Alex, Rachel and Mia :) Picture from my birthday two years ago...and Dwight Schrute. How could you not smile at Dwight?

A good grade on an anatomy&physiology test last tri (88) and a card from Mom. Taped to wall above desk to instill confidence when I have none.

My journal of awesome creations! This journal is for writing, photos, collages, etc. It's an outlet for my creative side....the one that loves marker on my hands and glue stick in my hair. I miss that part of myself a lot. You might see what's in here but only if I'm feeling brave! I bought this last summer (I think) and work on it whenever I get a chance.

I stick everything in my photo bulletin board. A lot of pictures cover older ones (it's deceiving but there's a lot of stuff on this board)...and it's still nice to look at old/new memories.

Whenever I think last year wasn't such an awesome year I really should reconsider. I've had too many good moments to name.

I feel happy right now. Content. Too bad I have an essay to write for my literature class! Oh, it's not horrible. I've come to love Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice because of this class.
The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26
